WOW

Ok. So I have had a LOT of requests for the flower headbands!!! If you would like one, email me at mjdeeter@yahoo.com Make sure to include your NAME, PHONE, ADDRESS and the color of band/flower you would like. If you don't care about the color, you can just get one that I choose for you!! :) I will be making LOTS of these during my spring break (March 19th-28th) So just let me know and I will start a spreadsheet for your orders!
WOW. WOW. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you all so MUCH!!!!!
(I'm not sure how much they will be, but I'm thinking about charging $5 per headband. If there are requests for multiple bands per order, I'll figure out a "special" :) THANK YOU!!!!

Just an idea...

March is here, whether I want it to be or not. It's a month I remember like the back of my hand. A month of feeling my sweet boy kick around in my belly for the last time. A month to celebrate the birth of our son. A month that Jeremy and I longed for-the arrival of our 1st child. A month of hopes and dreams, sorrows and tears. It's a rollercoaster of emotions.

I wasn't able to host another 5k run in memory of Connor to donate money to the Vasa Previa Foundation(I've been a little busy with work, grad school, Mia, Jeremy & the usual household duties). So I've been trying to come up with a way to raise money to donate to the Vasa Previa Foundation in memory of Connor.
I have recently started making Mia her own little hair bows....and I got an idea. Maybe I should make some and try to sell them to raise money for the foundation!?!?! I haven't decided for sure, but it would be something to keep my mind occupied during my spring break. AND it would be a way to make lots of little girls look SUPER cute :)
Let me know your thoughts!
Here are a few that I have done so far...

8 months old

That's right. She's 8 months old. She brings more love and smiles to Jeremy and I everyday.
Happy 8 months, Mia!
(she reminds me of that little martian that played on the flinstones!) :)

Even though...

....Mia's got a bit of a tummy bug, daddy can still get her to giggle. She's the best thing ever.

Going where she pleases...

Thursday night, Mia took off crawling. I was curious to see where she was going, so I followed her. She crawled from her Elmo toy in the family room, down the hallway and into the laundry area. Stopped. Sat down. And watched the dryer. Then she proceeded to try and stand up and bumped her head. She's been doing a lot of that lately :( She's got some bruises from falling! I'm gonna have to put a helmet on her!

4 days until...

this little guy......

is officially ONE!!!!!!
It just seems like yesterday that I saw Dr. Murray poke his head into the waiting room and looked at me and said, "Do you want to come back?" I can't wait for more! GET BUSY :)

Teething

My little Mia has had quite a past couple of weeks!! Ever since she turned 7 months old, she's been hitting some major milestones! Mia is now off and crawling to wherever she pleases, and once she arrives at her destination, she pulls herself up to stand!! She has been working on cutting a few teeth, too! Her bottom right tooth is poking through and it won't be long before the left one comes in! She is doing pretty well with them, I think. She will get a little crabby and start to chew on everything, so we just give her a little Tylenol and an ice cube wrapped up with a washcloth and then she's all better. Sometimes a little snuggle in mommy's arms and a nap will do the trick, too :)

Miss Indenpendent. Miss Determination. Wonder where she gets that from?
So full of smiles and giggles, so full of love.
Little Miss Mia's personality is really starting to show. She is shaking her head no, making silly noises at you and can totally play you to get her way!! We have started telling Mia no and tapping her hand when she gets into something she shouldn't be in (like the dog food and toilets) I think if we are consistent, she will learn quickly and be a better kid for it!!
I've recently started to incorporate some sign language while Mia eats and plays. I've been popping in her sign language dvd when we're playing on the floor and she really seems to like it! There have been lots of studies done that show an increase in language development and gestures through the use of sign language, so I'll incorporate it and see if/how she picks up on it! We'll see how it goes!
