So we had a SUPER busy weekend!!! Saturday morning we left home bright and early to head to Purdue for another home football game. Some of our friends couldn't make it to the game so they gave their extra tickets to us. We invited Haley, Justin, Blaine and Jenn to come and tailgate!! This was everyone's first tailgate--except Haley (she experienced it in full force last year at the PU/ND game) need I say anymore? haha So we all tailgated for a few hours before the game, went and watched our Boilermakers and shortly after the game we headed home.
After Jeremy and I got home we changed clothes, unpacked the truck, packed up my car and went to Jeremy's Aunt and Uncle's annual fish fry. They have a fish fry every year and their whole family gets together. We hung out with family, had a few drinks, and enjoyed the company of all the family.
Sunday we had Brennan's baptism. Jeremy and I are Brennan's Godparents. We feel blessed to be a part of his life. We have a huge responsibility--if their mom and dad aren't good parents, we get to take over. HAHA just kidding! :) We just have to make sure that he grows up with the Catholic faith. I think his parents are on the right track :)
Jeremy and I have both been a bit under the weather. He has a virus called pleuricy (which is an inflammation of your lungs). I guess it's pretty painful when you take deep breaths. He's on some medicine that should hopefully help him! I have been fighting a headache and over all body ache.... I have a feeling some of the kids at work might have given me something!! I slept 10 hours Thursday night and took a 3 hour nap on the couch today. I hope that it's nothing, but if I don't get to feeling any better in a few days I might have to call the dr.
Hope you are enjoying the end of summer!

So we have had a crazy week..... to say the least.
Monday was great!! I took a personal day and Jeremy and I hung out all day--since we really didn't get to do much for our anniversary. We even snuck a nap in on the couch in the afternoon! So nice spending time together.
On Tuesday we received some REALLY great news. We found out that I was pregnant. Unfortunately, just 4 days later, I ended up having a miscarriage. We are both really bummed. But we agree it is better to happen like this than to go through what we went through back in March. Keep your fingers crossed for a pregnancy again--soon! :)
On Wednesday, Me, Haley, Jenn, Cyndi, Emily, Missy, Maria and Amanda all went to the Journey concert! Besides the really crappy traffic jam we got into upon parking--the concert was pretty good!!! It was no Steve Perry, but the new singer did a pretty good job. It was a fun night to hang out with all of the girls!!
We had another home Purdue football game on Saturday. We DOMINATED the first quarter!!! We were all expecting to lose pretty big to Oregon, but knew we had a good chance after the way our Boilermakers started out. Of course they lost it during the second half of the game and the Ducks came back and won the game in the second overtime. BOOO. Oh well. ...guess it just made a bad day worse. Plus Notre Dame won, so that sucks too!
We have one more home game this month and then we have a break for a couple of weeks. Hopefully we will get a ceiling put up in the basement!!! Slowly coming along. I can't wait to have our room done down there!!!
That's about it for this week!!! Hope you all have a good week! Stay dry!

Girls!
So this past weekend was the 1st home PURDUE football game!!! This is something that Jeremy and I look forward to every fall!!! We get to spend quality time with our friends from Purdue and enjoy some football. We hope to continue to get season tickets and someday share our love for Purdue football with our little Boilermakers!!! It was a little bittersweet coming to the first game. Last year we talked a lot about bringing Connor to a game to get him rooting for our Boilermakers nice and early. It sucks, but it's reality. We have to look towards the future and pray for another baby very soon. As for now, he'll just have to cheer on our Boilers from his beautiful home up in heaven..... Boiler Up little man!! We love you!

Our weekend in Evansville!

my favorite!!
the giraffe!
So we made a trip down to Evansville to visit Jeremy's mom and Mike!! We don't get down to visit very often, but when we do we always have a good time visiting and hanging out with them. If it wasn't for the LONG 4+ hour drive, we'd probably visit more often! :)
Started off with a cookout on Saturday with a lot of Mike's family. We played some games later at night and it was the best of us who stayed there and partied a little longer. I think I was one of the first to go to bed though :)
Sunday.... Cami, Kolin, Jeremy and myself went to visit the Mesker Zoo in Evansville. It was VERY hot, but we were able to see lots of neat animals!
Monday we had to get up early and drive to Ball State to drop off a fridge for Cami and Kolin. Then we headed to Walton for Jeremy's performance for the Cass County Community Foundation. (WOOHOO Deanna Crispen!) After he was done singing we packed up, got the dogs and FINALLY went home!! It was a fun weekend, but it sure is nice to be back home with our little family :)
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
