Bathtime!

Mia got to take her 1st real bath today!!! Aunt Haley was changing Mia yesterday when she realized that her umbilical cord came off as she pulled her onesie up!!! We've been waiting for it to come off so she can try out swimming in grandma and grandpa Deeter's pool!!

Tummy time with Jayden!!!
Jayden must have done something funny :)

The moments I'll cherish forever....
Hungry?
Being such a sweet girl while daddy spends some tummy time with Mia!

Week 1

At the Dr.'s office trying to stay warm!!!!
Mia's Dr. is out of town this week so for her 1 week checkup she got to see Dr. Luxenburg. He was my pediatrician as a baby! He told Jeremy and I that Mia gets an "A+" YAY! She was born weighing 7lbs 4oz, left the hospital weighing 6lbs 14oz, and today she weighed 7lbs 12 oz!!! She is a growing girl!!!
Mia has had daily blood levels drawn because she HAD a slight case of jaundice. We received great news today saying that her levels have finally started to decrease! She was such a trooping having her heel stuck so many times! Today she actually fell asleep while they were drawing her blood!
I will do my best updating with pictures! He is my favorite one so far! :)
Here is Miss Mia. 1 week old today!

Unconditional Love

We are home and are SO in love with this very special little girl.

She's a great baby!!! At night she will go anywhere from 3-4 hours in between feedings. So daddy and I aren't too terribly tired throughout the day! It's hard to go back to sleep at night sometimes because I just want to sit and stare at her. I don't think she'll ever know the relief and joy she has brought to her mommy and daddy.
Mia and her Grandma Deeter. I can honestly tell you that I would not be half the person I am now without my mom so close to me through EVERYTHING that has happened these past 15 months. She has been there for me through it all. A shoulder to cry on, someone to laugh hysterically with, someone who rubs my head and back..... She's my mom. My baby's grandma. She's the best thing in the world and I couldn't have done this without you.

A big hug from my dad right after I delivered Mia. It was so great to see his face peek around the curtain as they whisked Mia away to the warmer to make sure things were A-OK! I smiled so big when I saw him and then he grabbed me and I squeezed him as hard as I could. There is nothing better than my dad. He has raised 3 wonderful kids and is now ready to spoil the crap out of his grandkids. LOVE YOU! Grandma and Grandpa Deeter with their very 1st granddaughter.

37 weeks. Let's take a poll.

First-belly picture at 37 weeks. HUGE. It's ok. We like big, healthy babies. I'm now considered "full term"! Feeling great! Still able to work out--we got new kickboxing equipment at the Y and tonight was our first time using it and it was SO fun, but really hard!!! I'll probably be sore tomorrow!! Have been noticing a lot more contractions that are timeable for about an hour and I have been feeling more in my lower back. Still not sure which route we'll go. Just have to wait!
Weight: 164 (yikes, 1 lb away from my goal to not get OVER)
Belly: 43 1/2 inches
Effacement: 50%
Dilation: 2-3 cm

So, let's take a poll. Try and guess if Mia will arrive before the 16th!!! It will be fun to see who guesses correctly! And, while you're at it, go ahead and guess how much she'll weigh!
Preping my toes before birth is a MUST. You HAVE to have pretty toes when you go in to have a baby!!! So Haley, Emily, Cyndi and myself went and got pedicures this morning. It was lovely! :)
Look at that pretty flower she put on my big toe! :)
My friend, Deanna, came up from Indy to visit today. She's expecting a boy in October!! We have such a good time hanging out. She will be celebrating her daughter, Parker's, 2nd birthday in August. It's crazy that it's been almost 2 years. We are both so excited and nervous as we await the arrival of our first baby after losing one to vasa previa. We just get each others fears and frustrations. I love her and wouldn't survive without her!
She also has some MAD organizing skills. This is now what Mia's closet looks like!!! We have WAAAAY too many clothes for this girl. She will never get through all of the outfits that you all have gotten for her!! There are still totes full in the basement with clothes in them......holy cow.

Mia will be hanging out in her $1 garage sale chair next summer. I can't wait!
Totally random, but another great garage sale bargain!! Our new desk!
My husband = a big kid.
Jeremy went and bought these fire works after work today. This is only about HALF of what he wants to get. This is $130 worth. What can I say, he lets me pamper myself, I guess he can spend some money on his own fireworks show!
We'll keep you posted (Well, Haley probably will) if anything happens! Keep checking, Mia will be here before we know it! Hmmmm....a 4th of July baby, perhaps?
