From the North Pole

Mia received a special letter in the mail today. It came from the North Pole, from a guy named Santa Claus....

He even knew this was her 1st Christmas!
He explained who he was and how good girls like her get presents!

I sure can't wait until Christmas morning....this is going to be so much fun! :)
Mia's 1st Christmas present!!!! It's from her buddy, Cooper!!! They are going to be pals forever! Maybe even prom dates :)
So call me crazy....
I have been working really hard trying to find what works for Mia. We went through a little rough patch where she was waking up 2 and 3 times a night. I tried swaddling, unswaddling, later bed time, earlier bed time. After much trial and error, we finally have found the perfect schedule (which I'm psycho about keeping it down to the last minute)
So here's what we do.
I pick up Mia at 3:30 from Christina's.
She takes a little cat nap while I workout at the Y from 4-5.
She gets a little snack (15 minutes of breastfeeding) at 5:15.
We play, sing, make noises, read and practice sitting up until 6:45.
She gets her bath, pj's and snuggled in her sleep sack from 6:45-7:00.
She gets 3 oz of formula starting at 7:00 and is done at 7:10.
She gets 10 minutes of breastfeeding on each side which puts us at 7:30.
7:30 is bed time. No if, ands or buts.
I may be kinda crazy and psycho about this schedule. But Mia is sleeping from 7:30 p.m. until 6:30a.m. It requires me being home A LOT more than I used to be, but I'm willing to be a hermit for the next few months while she grows like crazy! :)
If you need me, I'll be home. :) And that's just fine with me!

I have always been a firm believer in schedules. If it works then stick with it. Love you guys!!!!

I am psycho about our nighttime schedule too. And she is a pretty good sleeper because of it.

I have been working on moving Payton's bedtime earlier - I am trying to get to 7:30. We will see - I just don't want her waking up at 5:00 for the day! Ha!

I love the letter from Santa. That is such a sweet idea.

I would love for our girls to meet over the holidays. I wonder if we can work something out... :)

You're not crazy. :) My mom had my twin brother on a schedule the day we came home from the NICU.
