3 weeks old!

HELLO WORLD! I'm 3 weeks old today!

Daddy gave me my 1st bottle!!!

Mia is 3 weeks old today. She has a big brother that would have been 16 months old today. I could write how sad I am that he's not here with us. But I'd rather focus on how happy we are to have Mia in our lives. She brings us SO much joy and happiness. It still hurts A LOT to think about what Connor would be doing and who he would look like.....

Happy 3 week and 16 month birthday to both of my babies. I love you so very much.

2 weeks old today!

It's been a great 2 weeks so far with Mia in our lives. We cherish every second with her! She's still doing great. Eating, sleeping and pooping :) This is our last night before daddy goes back to work, so that's all for tonight. Going to go enjoy our last few hours together!

Bathtime!

Mia got to take her 1st real bath today!!! Aunt Haley was changing Mia yesterday when she realized that her umbilical cord came off as she pulled her onesie up!!! We've been waiting for it to come off so she can try out swimming in grandma and grandpa Deeter's pool!!

Week 1

At the Dr.'s office trying to stay warm!!!!

Mia's Dr. is out of town this week so for her 1 week checkup she got to see Dr. Luxenburg. He was my pediatrician as a baby! He told Jeremy and I that Mia gets an "A+" YAY! She was born weighing 7lbs 4oz, left the hospital weighing 6lbs 14oz, and today she weighed 7lbs 12 oz!!! She is a growing girl!!!

Mia has had daily blood levels drawn because she HAD a slight case of jaundice. We received great news today saying that her levels have finally started to decrease! She was such a trooping having her heel stuck so many times! Today she actually fell asleep while they were drawing her blood!

I will do my best updating with pictures! He is my favorite one so far! :)

Unconditional Love

We are home and are SO in love with this very special little girl.

She's a great baby!!! At night she will go anywhere from 3-4 hours in between feedings. So daddy and I aren't too terribly tired throughout the day! It's hard to go back to sleep at night sometimes because I just want to sit and stare at her. I don't think she'll ever know the relief and joy she has brought to her mommy and daddy.

Mia and her Grandma Deeter. I can honestly tell you that I would not be half the person I am now without my mom so close to me through EVERYTHING that has happened these past 15 months. She has been there for me through it all. A shoulder to cry on, someone to laugh hysterically with, someone who rubs my head and back..... She's my mom. My baby's grandma. She's the best thing in the world and I couldn't have done this without you.

A big hug from my dad right after I delivered Mia. It was so great to see his face peek around the curtain as they whisked Mia away to the warmer to make sure things were A-OK! I smiled so big when I saw him and then he grabbed me and I squeezed him as hard as I could. There is nothing better than my dad. He has raised 3 wonderful kids and is now ready to spoil the crap out of his grandkids. LOVE YOU!
