Shoutout!

My blogger friend, Sara, has awarded me a "Shoutout"! She wants me to list 10 quirks about myself....this will be waaay too easy! Sara is also pregnant and her baby GIRL (1st u/s says girl) is due within a week of our UNKNOWN baby!!!!

So here goes--10 quirks about me:

1. I have to sleep with my socks on. I don't know why, but having my bare feet touching the covers or my husbands feet without socks totally wigs me out! He says it's so I can make for a quick getaway in the middle of the night, but it's just because I don't like the feeling of my bare feet touching stuff under the covers! Which is weird...I'm a swimmer, so being barefoot is something I do very often!
2. I have the same routine every time I shower. I wash my hair, wash my face, put conditioner in my hair and let it set while I wash my body, then I BRUSH the conditioner out of my hair then rinse. Then I stand in the shower as hot as I can get it for about 3-4 minutes and then get out.
3. I hate laundry. I don't mind shoving clothes in the washer and dryer, but I hate the folding part. I'm not a real lazy person, but when it comes to laundry, I'm lazy. If I'm right, there is still a load of towels in the drying from the laundry that I "finished" on Monday night. They'll get folded on Sunday.
4. I'm obsessed with Jon and Kate Plus 8. I DVR their show every Monday night at 9 p.m. I missed it this week because the bachelor was on and I wanted to see who he was breaking up with and couldn't watch it unless I stopped recording Jon and Kate. I have already been on TLC to see if I can watch the episode I missed!
5. I have a strange and unique family. My family is very close. We hang out together most weekends and have fun doing nothing. We are all very open about EVERYTHING......sometimes a little too open. If someone who is not part of our family is over at the house, they may think we're pretty weird to talk about the things we talk about.
6. I can't go a day without checking my blog to see if anyone has updated. It's an obsession. If they had meetings for it, I would need to attend.
7. If I don't work out everyday I feel like a lazy piece of crap. My sister used to not understand that I couldn't miss my aerobics classes at the Y.... She has since joined the Y and has become obsessed with working out, too. I guess it's a good obsession.
8. I LOVE CHOCOLATE. I have a problem. My husband says so. I can down a box of nutty bars in less than 5 days. He is hoping that my problem with eating so much junk food doesn't rub off on our kids.
9. I'm needy. I like to be loved on. Whenever we go to my parents I make my mom rub and scratch my back. I make my husband do it every once in awhile, but noone give a good back scratchin' like your good ol' mom! :)
10. I hate touching raw meat with my bare hands. I have a huge box of latex gloves so that when I have to deal with raw meat, I can slip them on and not feel so icky.

Ok. SO those are a few quirky things about myself. There are MANY more, but I kept myself to the limit of 10! Now I'm going to give a SHOUTOUT (2 because I want to know 10 quirks about both of them!!!) to my sister, HALEY, and my blogger friend ELLYN (we each have a baby boy up in heaven--they were both born on 3/28, just 1 year apart) These 10 quirks outta be good!! :)

18 weeks and another pound!

Here was the gas filled belly at 17 weeks!!!!

Here is the belly feeling much better at 18 weeks!

The ALMOST finished plate of special "K" bars that my Katy K brought to me on Tuesday--along with the Single Ladies CD!!!

Things have been going really great!!! I had been fighting some really horrible gas type pains in my lower left side of my belly. I'm not sure why, but after fighting it for 4 day, it finally disappeared!!! I hope that doesn't come back!! Weighed in this morning at 144 lbs! Another pound I have gained making that 2 pounds so far!!! Let's hope that I don't get on a 1 lb/week type of pattern! :)

We have 60 entries for Connor's 5k!!! I'm so excited that we have such a great turnout ALREADY! Get your entries in quickly so that you can get the t-shirt and bracelet!

I have lots to do tonight to get some things ready for a fundraiser that Jake at Amelios is helping us with.

Hope to be posting pictures of BABY RAMER here pretty sure!!!!!! She's JUST ABOUT 4cm dilated and will go at any time!!!!!

Too much to do, so little time!

Just a good weekend!

The Kool-aide sisters! :) At Jenn's baby shower

The group of girls from the YMCA--Haley, Kate, Jonie, Cyndi, Me & Jenn
In Front--Emily and Shelly.
You could say that we all look pretty normal, right?

AND you could say we're all a bit goofy, too!!!!
I absolutely ADORE this entire group of girls!!
LOVE YOU ALL!

We were able to find a few interesting household decorations at the baby shower. Now, if anyone ever asks me if I've seen a green kangaroo--I can say YES.
HELLO? Is there anybody in there? Surround sound maybe?

And Jenn opening some of her presents at the baby shower! Only 6 more weeks left!!!

That's my sweet little baby, Zoe. She likes to snuggle with her mommy :)

The boys tearing up the kitchen making dinner for us girls on Valentine's Day at Haley and Justin's house. We had steaks, chicken, corn, potatoes and DIRT PUDDING. It was a delicious meal and a great Valentine's evening spent with my family!

LOOK WHO CAME TO VISIT!!!!!!!
IT'S
BEANS!

Missy and Mark just recently adopted a puppy from petfinder.com. They have welcomed the newest member of the ALMOST Lowry family. His name is Beans Lowry and he will actually be staying with the Hall family in March while his mommy and daddy go on their honeymoon!

We had a wonderful weekend of not doing much of anything at all. Had some dinner at Silver Lake Friday night, spent the night with our family on Saturday night, had a baby shower on Sunday and then spent the rest of the afternoon on Sunday with the family again!

A little heart (beat) for Valentine's Day!

The beautiful sounds of our baby's beating heart!

17 weeks. ONE POUND! REALLY?

Seriously, ONE POUND? WOOHOO!

This pregnancy, as you know, I am being proactive about my weight gain. I thought for sure--due to the size of my belly--that I had gained AT LEAST 4 or 5 lbs. When I got on the scale on saw this, I just had to take a picture! HA! That, and so you can see that I'm not lying about my weight! I still swimming a couple times a week and teaching aerobics at the Y. (Jenn is getting a little too pregnant to keep teaching) :) So I have stepped in and try and help her out as much as I can!

Ohhhh. That flat stomach I feel like I'll never see again--at 6 weeks.

And HOLY BABY! What in the heck happend to that small baby bump? (Jeremy will be mad, I forgot to close his closet doors!)

So this "baby bump" has become a little more noticeable! I have the CUTEST little special ed girl at work. On Monday, she looked up at me while I was working with her and she says, "Hall (she calls me just by my last name) you got a baby in your belly?" I couldn't help but laugh and said, yes I sure do!! She looked at my belly again and just said, "ohhh." And that was the end of that conversation! :) I have had a couple other speech kids look at me funny and I know that some of them are afraid to ask because they know what happend and they don't want to upset me. Sometimes they will come in and look at the picture of Connor on my desk, look at me and just sit down. I've had some kids ask who it was and I tell them and then they either ask what happend again or they just kinda say ok and sit down.

Ummm, I don't know if you noticed, but I've done over 1000.

That's just me being silly the night before Haley's baby shower--just showing off the 'guns'.
Have you ever seen a frozen hot tub? Yah, me neither!
So we have a frozen hot tub. This is my second home--when I'm not pregnant. And considering I've been pregnant 3 times since July '07, I haven't gotten to enjoy this as much as I wanted. I'm pretty sure that once this giant chunk of ice thaws out, the hot tub will be ruined. I used my coaching money from spring swim team to purchase this (I paid $700 for it). Jeremy called the insurance company to see about processing a claim on our homeowners insurance for it. We have a $500 deductible.....I'm not sure if it would even be worth to pay it--if we are even able to fix it. We haven't decided what we're going to do yet. Maybe we'll get lucky and when it thaws out the pipes inside will be perfectly fine and will run like a champ. Highly doubt it. Nice to think positive though, right?

16 Weeks

We got a new comforter for our bed! :)

16 week belly picture with Connor.

16 week belly picture with Hall baby #2!

Wow. It just feels like yesterday that I was looking down at a positive pregnancy test. This pregnancy has been going great. I feel great and don't have any complaints. It's a lot like my pregnancy with Connor--no morning sickness or any other yucky stuff. Well, I take that back.. When I was pregnant with Connor, I fought a week long headache between my 2nd and 3rd trimester. My nurse told me that it was just from changing hormones and that they would slowly go away. When I transitioned from the 1st to 2nd trimester with this pregnancy--I fought a week long headache. I had to take tylenol every for hours--on the dot, or else my head would continue to pound. After a week, it just stopped and hasn't come back!!!!
Some exciting news....I was sitting at the middle school yesterday doing hearing screenings and thought I felt a 'thud' in my tummy. I wasn't sure if it was baby or maybe a gas bubble....? When I got home later that night and just sat, I felt that 'thud' many more times. I didn't have gas, so I'm PRETTY SURE it was the little guy/gal in there bumping around! I love that feeling and hope I feel it a lot more--and hope that Jeremy is able to feel it too here pretty soon!!!
Baby weight..... So I got on the scale this morning (with just undies and a tank top!) :) And I was pretty surprised at the number I saw: 142. The same weight I was at 6 weeks, and every other week following. I think last week I actually weighed 143, but who knows how much junk food I had probably eaten that night before! haha I'm sure within the next week or so I'll probably jump like 5 lbs! I have been really trying to work out more--getting up in the mornings and working out before swim practices, and any other chance I have. I just feel so much better after working out, and there is such a great group of girls that I have made friends with at the Y that make working out a lot of fun.
Haley, Cyndi and myself all signed up for the Indianapolis mini marathon 5k. I have run the mini twice, and unfortunately, won't be able to run it this year. Actually, I probably could walk it, but I'm not sure how much fun that would be at almost 30 weeks pregnant. So that's why we have decided to walk/run the 5k that takes place the same morning as the Indy Mini. Just to be down there in that atmosphere is so exciting and tons of fun. It will be neat to be on the other side of the fence watching all of the mini runners crossing the finish line. I know crossing it last year was just a huge accomplishment for Cyndi and I. I will probably cry watching strangers finishing!!
You are all going to probably think I'm crazy. But I'm also going to compete in an Adult swim meet (with Cyndi) on February 28th, over at Pioneer high school. A high school girl is organizing this event to help raise money for the special olympics--and to give adults who like to swim, a chance to compete. So as long as the pool heater at the Y remains fixed--we plan on hitting the pool a few mornings every week to get ready!!! Now, I just have to find a bathing suit to accommodate this belly I've got going on!
We have 40 people signed up for Connor's 5k run/walk!!! We have received lots of entries this past week!!! So with just those 40 entries, we have already raised $600 to go towards the donation for the Vasa Previa foundation. My goal is to send at least $1500 to them, let hope we can get there!!!!!
3 more days of swim season left--and I can't wait to be able to come home after work and enjoy some time with my husband and dogs!!! Hope you're all having a good week!

Superbowl Sunday!

Our kids bonding in utero!
Killing some time before the Superbowl playing some guitar hero with my bedridden sister!
We are pretty intense trying not to miss any notes!
