HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!

I don't know if you keep up with the bring the rain blog. If you haven't, link yourself over and read it today.

She is probably one of the strongest women I "know".

So now I guess I'm supposed to tell you what I'm thankful for:

1. I'm thankful I'm alive and healthy.
2. I'm thankful that I have a very loving, caring and supportive husband.
3. I'm thankful for my awesome family whom I love so very much.
4. I'm thankful for the warm house I come home to every day.
5. I'm thankful for the food that gives me nutrients.
6. I'm thankful for all of the many friends I have met and kept throughout that past 4 years.
7. I'm thankful for my two dogs that love me!

Last but not least.

8. I'm thankful that our beautiful son rests in the arms of Jesus. He has changed our lives forever and I will never be the same person I once was. He is in the most beautiful place on earth, and for that, I'm thankful.

Hope you all have a great Holiday.

Much Love.

Oh-oh-uh-oh-oh, Oh-oh-oh---o, Oh-oh-uh-oh o, The right stuff.

So I can't believe what I just saw on TV. NEW KIDS ON THE BLOCK! They're back, and well, I guess I'm not in love with them like I used to be 15 years ago.

I do know that I had a NKOTB Barbie doll, belt, sweatshirt, t-shirt and countless posters. After watching them perform tonight, I felt compelled to write about them. Wow. They're really back? If you would have told me 15 years ago that they would make a comeback--I would have laughed in your face.

New Kids--THEN

New Kids--NOW

If you didn't get to hear them on the American Music Awards show....well, you didn't much. Sorry girls--but I wasn't impressed. :)

What a great birthday today!!!! My mom and dad had everyone over this afternoon to celebrate my BIRTHDAY!!!! Mom made a taco bar--I LOVE tacos!! After everyone ate they sand happy birthday to me, blew out the candles and then opened some gifts!!!! After we were done eating the boys sat around and watched football while the girls went to Kokomo to go shopping!!! We spent the evening hanging out and I was able to get some new shirts and boots!!!
As for the rest of the weekend... Jeremy and I went and picked out carpet on Saturday for the basement. While we were there, I just so happened to find some furniture that I really really liked!!! I'm ordering it tomorrow when I put in our order for our carpet! :) As we were getting ready to leave the furniture store--I noticed another couple shopping around. We had both kind of looked at one another...and then I realized that it was Michelle who I had "met" on blogger!!! We have emailed back and forth and just so happened to be in the same place at the same time! Coincidence?? Hmmmm..... It was so nice to finally meet her!
One more full week of work for me and then I have 2 days off for Thanksgiving break!!!
Until then, I'll be getting pumped up this week for the IU/PU football game on Saturday!!!
BOILER UP!!!!!

Kids say....

Well I just had to post on here something that one of my kids at work told me...

I had a 4th grade girl in my room, ok first, let me back up.... Last week the 4th graders here took a field trip up to Mt. Hope cemetary to do different activites with the headstones. I guess it is a great field trip and the kids absolutely love it--plus they learn a lot too.

So back to my 4th grade girl... She came into speech pretty serious and said, Mrs. Hall, can I talk to you about something? Of course..... I say sure. It's always interesting what these kids have to say....and I usually get an earful of random things that they, their parents or their pets have done recently. Well, this time it was different. This little girls says, so you know that fieldtrip we went on? Yes, I do.... Well, I got to see your son's headstone, and it was so pretty. So I just looked at her and said, yeah...we like it too. She proceeds to tell me...can I tell you something else? Of course...I said yes. She says, Well...I stood next to your son and I said a prayer for you and your husband and your son. I don't want you to feel sad, so I said a prayer. I didn't want anyone to make fun of me, so I just said it to myself.
WOW.
I wanted to start crying as we were sitting in my room. I held it in and thanked her for being so thoughtful.

Just one of those things that can make your day. You just never know what kinds of things that kids will say...

Just another day

So here is just a little update on the basement!!! Jeremy and I have put A LOT of time and hard work into our basement. Jeremy has done so much work from framing, to wiring, and hanging drywall. I was even able to put a few screws into the drywall while we were putting up the last two pieces of the ceiling! The ceiling was the hardest part to do because towards the end we weren't able to use the jack to lift up the pieces of drywall. So, I would hold the pieces up with my own strength while Jeremy QUICKLY put in enough screws to hold up the ceiling before my arms gave out on me!!! We, well I, hope to start priming and then painting the walls by Friday or Saturday. We are trying to decide on a color for the walls--it's either going to be a deep green color called painted turtle, or a rich maroon color. I will decide when I go to Home Depot again to spend some more money! Don't worry, I'll post pictures while we are in the process of painting to let you know what color we decided on! :)

Our girls hard at work!

So here we are in to the second week of swimming. I took a few pictures tonight at practice just to see how my camera would do. I'm sure there will be many more to come as we get further into the season!

Me and Maria

Jeremy and Me!

What a LONG and BUSY weekend!! Friday night we hung out at home for the trick or treaters until about 8:00. Then Jeremy's band had a gig in Kokomo for Halloween night!! Here he is rockin' out!!

We both got about 2 1/2-3 hours of sleep Friday night before we had to wake up and get ready to leave for tailgating at Purdue on Saturday!! It was ROUGH getting out of bed for the both of us, but we are true Boilermaker fans!!!! We had a great time tailgating!! PURDUE EVEN WON!!!! It was a great game to watch and the weather was absolutely BEAUTIFUL! After the game we went back to tailgate and hung out for a little bit. Then we went to Harry's for a drink and then headed to the Cactus to go to the piano bar. It was the petrone family and Jeremy and myself. Bruce even got Jeremy to get up and sing even though he was extremely tired and didn't think he had much of a voice from the night before. The crowd loved him!! And I think if he wouldn't have been so tired he would have done a few more songs!

Today we have been working in the basement ALL day. We had to finish up a few pieces on the ceiling and the outer wall. We have it all FINISHED!!! Jeremy doesn't have to hang any more drywall!!! It's all cleaned up down there and we are ready for the drywall guys to come over to mud and sand it so I can start priming and painting it!! We have to decide on a wall color and some carpet in the next week or so!!

I will do my best at keeping my posts up to date--HALEY! Swim season is here so it's going to be a busy next 3 months!!!!

Hope you all had a great weekend with this beautiful weather!!!

Much love!
